Tuesday, November 22, 2016, 9:00 am – Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 5:00 pm

As the winter holidays are fast approaching, the Human Rights Initiative is pleased to announce our two philanthropic events between November 22 and December 7:

SHOEBOX FULL OF LOVE

Remember the joy of unwrapping a gift during the holidays? Now is your chance to give that joy to someone in need.

How does Shoebox Full of Love work?

*Gather some Christmas gifts individually or with your friends for a child (0-18 years old) in need
*Place them in a shoebox and wrap it
*Add a sign indicating whom it is for (e.g. 8-10 year old boy)
*If you cannot fill a whole shoebox, you can also donate a few items without wrapping
*We encourage you to write some Christmas greetings to the children, feel free to send your message to hrsi@ceu.edu for translation

If you feel like you need some tips on what to put in your shoebox, click here and get inspired!

The presents will be donated to the Pesterzsebet Roma Self-Government and will be distributed among the students of our two partner schools, the Miklos Zrinyi Elementary School and the Tatra Teri Elementary School.

WINTER CLOTHES DRIVE

A bit chilly on these days in Budapest? Just think of others who may not have warmly-heated dorm rooms and flats to go back to...

How does the Winter Clothes Drive work?

*Donate any clothes that you no longer wear
*Make sure that the items are clean and wearable

The donations will be given to families in need in the Miskolc area and to the students of the Ambedkar Secondary School.

All donations are collected in the boxes placed at N9 LAPTOP AREA.

Thanks for your generous support in advance.
