Write For Rights!
Join us at the Letter Writing Marathon!
Write/sign letters for people at risk or unjustly imprisoned and help changing their situations for the better!

Write For Rights is an annual action by Amnesty International for which millions of people across the world sign and write letters – to support the prisoners of conscience, people or communities at risk and demand their release or protection from the responsible authorities.
Bayram and Giyan from Azerbaijan were beaten, forced to do a false confession and are facing 12 years or jail for doing grafitti…
Eren, lawyer fighting for human rights in Turkey, especially vocal about Kurdish minority's rights, was already imprisoned solely for using the word 'Kurdistan' in her articles for 6 months and faced more than 100 charges, all of them because of defending rights – she is now facing even worse prison sentence – only for speaking against injustices…
10-year-old Annie is a child with albinism from Malawi, who is in great danger (like up to 10 000 people with albinism in Malawi) of being attacked and killed for her body parts that are believed to have magical power – people who believe these body parts will make them rich abducted and attempted to murder 45 people with albinism in 2015 alone!
These and many others are the cases we are going to write for this year.
Join us on 6 Dec, Tuesday or 7 Dec, Wednesday between 12.00 and 14.00 in the ground floor of Nador 15 building (in front of Estratto Café), sign the letters and help creating pressure on the authorities to stop the abuses of human rights!
The campaign at CEU is co-organized by Amnesty International Hungary, student volunteers and HRSI.
