Anatoly Pinsky is assistant professor of Soviet and contemporary Russian history at the European University at Saint Petersburg. He is the author of articles and essays that have appeared in Slavic Review, Russian Review, and Kritika. He is also the editor of Posle Stalina: pozdnesovetskaia sub"ektivnost' [After Stalin: Subjectivity in the Late Soviet Union] (1953-1985) (St. Petersburg: Izdatel'stvo Evropeiskogo universiteta v Sankt-Peterburge, 2018), several articles of which will be published in English translation in a special issue of Russian Studies in History.
