What mechanisms are set in motion in the brain if we differentiate between the self and the foreign? What behavior and which images lead to stereotypes, exclusion and ultimately dehumanization? How do heads of states act when they fuel illiberal discourses?
In a Viennese Lecture, three researchers from Central European University, which opened its gates in Vienna's 10th district in September 2019, will answer these questions from the perspective of their respective discipline.
CEU combines the research tradition of large American universities with the intellectual heritage of Central Europe and offers numerous English-language courses that are among the best in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2020.
