The Innovation in Politics Institute is a mission-driven company that identifies, develops and applies innovations in politics to strengthen democracy in Europe and beyond. Their mission is to recognize and support those political professionals who have the courage to break new ground, are creative and achieve better results – across party lines and across borders – to make democratic politics more successful.
The European Capital of Democracy Initiative aims to promote democratic governance and strengthen social cohesion by promoting and expanding democratic participation and democratic awareness and by strengthening established and new forms of democratic practice in Europe. A European Capital of Democracy will be designated for every year, starting in 2022, as a Europe-wide initiative for strengthening democracy.
During this session you will learn more about:
- The Innovation in Politics Institute and its non-profit initiative, the European Capital of Democracy
- Their mission and intended impact
- Opportunities to engage in and contribute to different projects such as Innovation in Politics Awards, Democracy Technologies, European Capital of Democracy and POLIS
There will be time for Q&A at the end of the presentation, so come prepared with questions!
