June 26, 9:30am-1:30pm CET - Earth Observation for climate change analysis using Google Earth Engine by Elizaveta Khazieva
Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud based platform provides access to multiple repositories of satellite imagery and geospatial datasets allowing quick and accurate analysis and visualization of large datasets available in the cloud. GEE platform provides the agile tool for data analysis as well as the data catalog. The data catalog consists of different free geospatial data, including satellite imageries (optical and radar), information about climate (temperature, precipitation and so on), relief (digital elevation models), land cover maps and variety socio-economic variables.
The webinar is aimed to explain a basic, practical understanding of remote sensing data application in order to research climate change and its consequences. During this webinar participants will learn how to search for different spatial data, fulfill analysis, visualize and interpret the results.
