Friday, February 12, 2016, 8:00 am – Saturday, February 13, 2016, 9:00 pm

On behalf of the Allianz Kulturstiftung and the School of Public Policy at Central European University, we are pleased to invite you to register and apply for funding for the Unifying Refugee Aid seminar to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on February 12-13, 2016.

This regional seminar aims to develop cooperation among NGOs from Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Austria, and Germany. Its goal is to enable the exchange of ideas and strategies to facilitate the provision of basic refugee aid, and form a network of solidarity for further collaborative efforts.

This full two-day seminar will include a review of national practices in Central Europe and the Western Balkans regarding asylum and migration, tailored sessions comparing civil society responses to the refugee crisis, a media panel featuring international documentary filmmakers, and four participant-driven workshops to exchange strategies for assisting refugees.

You may extend this invitation to any member of your organisation working on different aspects of refugee aid, whether humanitarian assistance on the ground, legal work, or in a managerial position. Please feel free to forward this invitation to other groups you believe will be interested.

The deadline for applications was Saturday, 23 January, 2016. Last-minute applications are welcome through Thursday, February 11, 17.00. Please make sure to fill out the registration form at this link.

We believe that the Unifying Refugee Aid seminar will be an important event, bringing together civil society organisations from different countries, and facilitating the integration of civil society responses to Europe's refugee crisis.

We look forward to welcoming you to Budapest!
