In 1984 East Berlin, an agent of the secret police, conducting surveillance on a writer and his lover, finds himself becoming increasingly absorbed by their lives. The Lives of Others won the 2006 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

In cooperation with Goethe Institute in Budapest.

The screening is attached to the course "Counter-Cultures and Power During State Socialism 1960-1990."
