SPP Career Information Session: The Schwarzman Scholars Program

Tuesday, January 31, 2017, 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm

SPP is pleased to host an information session on the Schwarzman Scholars program. The Schwarzman Scholars experience represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a year immersed in an international community of thinkers and innovators. Set in a new, state-of-the-art college at Beijing’s prestigious Tsinghua University, the program has been designed by leading academics to accelerate the future path of the world’s best and brightest. Students will refine and expand their leadership abilities while completing a fully funded, one-year Master’s Degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in one of three disciplines: Public Policy, Economics and Business, or International Studies. The current Schwarzman Scholars cohort includes a CEU alumna.

Speaker bio: Olga Petrova (HIST ’13)  is an Outreach and Selection Officer for the Schwarzman Scholars program at the Institute of International Education’s European Office, part of the global IIE network. Olga completed her first degree in English and History in Ukraine and spent a year at Williams College as a Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) Fellow in American Studies. She earned her MA in Central European History from Central European University’s Department of History in 2013. Prior to joining Schwarzman Scholars at IIE, Olga worked at a higher education consultancy in Kyiv and was an intern for the Global Policy Academy at CEU’s School of Public Policy.
