The ensemble was founded in Saint Petersburg in 2005. The ‘IMPULSE’ dance studio is one of the most successful artistic children and youth ensembles in Russia. This group is very popular both in its country and abroad. Its repertoire consists of almost 200 productions in which you can find choreography miniatures, Russian and world folk dances, stylized, character, modern and stage show dances.
Their versatile production surmounts the conception of Folk Dance Theatre. The group follows the traditions of the best Russian folk dance. Their programme includes the choreographies of the great masters (Moiseyev, Jacobson, Godenko etc.). Beside their several performances in Russia they have appeared successfully in more than 30 countries.
They have been awarded as winners already 100 times by the jury for their work at national and international competitions (Grand Prix), they won the UNESCO Award in 2010 and since then they have been members of the UNESCO Dance Committee.
