Brexit - How to leave the European Union in a worse state than you found it

CEUR Guest lecture by Andrew Duff

Chair: Uwe Puetter

Andrew Duff will examine the long slow withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. He will lament the failure of the EU’s long-term strategy of widening and deepening. He will speculate on what the EU can do without the British that it could not do with the British.

Andrew Duff is a Visiting Fellow at the European Policy Centre (EPC) in Brussels. He was a Member of the European Parliament for the British Liberal Democrat Party and a member of the Group of the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party until 2009. He was the President of the Union of European Federalists between 2008 and 2013. He was one of the European Parliament representatives at the European Convention which adopted the Draft Treaty Establishing a Constitution for Europe in 2002-2003.
