Professor Cheng is a leading scholar in the field of international economic and trade law, and has played a vital role in the promotion of international law in Asia. A Professor of International Law at the Soochow University School of Law in Taipei, he is also Secretary General of the Xiamen Academy of International Law. Professor Cheng has made a significant contribution to the development of international air transport law in Asia and currently leads the Asian Institute of International Air and Space Law. He is the author of more than twenty major books on subjects of international law.
