CEU students are kindly invited to join the "Start from your Strengths" Workshop during CEU's Career Camp.
This session is about identifying your individual strengths and applying this self-knowledge in the job search and application process.
Session participants will be asked to bring to the workshop a small selection of very brief “achievement stories” (more about brief “pre-work” assignment below).
During the course of the workshop, we will examine guidelines for self-assessment and discuss tactics you can use to identify your top skills and strengths and to use this information in order to make it clear to employers that you are the person they are looking for.
You will have a chance to practice telling one of your achievement stories during the workshop. This is good practice for future interviews and an opportunity to gain insights that will inform your job search moving forward. The session includes specific tips on incorporating these insights into application materials including CVs/resumes, cover letters, and personal statements.
Pre-Work: Session participants will be required to complete a brief assignment (45 min. max) before the session. This involves writing three “achievement stories.” You will receive the achievement stories worksheet after you sign up. Participants are asked to commit to bringing the completed achievement stories worksheet to the session, as otherwise it will be difficult to take advantage of the information presented.

CEU Career Camp is a series of career development programs designed to kickstart your progress towards your career goals. Sessions focus on the most pressing questions and topics that you may face while starting your job search. From longer workshops that cover a specific topic in depth, to “grab and go” style lunch break info sessions, there is something for everyone.
