BIO / Daniela Schwarzer is one of Germany’s leading foreign policy analysts. She is currently the Director of the German Council on Foreign Relations, Germany's premier national foreign policy network. She previously served as an executive member and head of the Berlin office of the German Marshall Fund. She has also spent eight years with the German Institute for International and Security Affairs and advised Poland and France during their respective EU Council presidencies. Additional to her policy making expertise, she has taught at the Hertie School of Governance, the Collège ‘Europe, the Institute of European Studies of Macau, and the University of Salzburg. Her considerable expertise spans areas as: German and European foreign policy, European institutions, EU political and economic affairs, and Transatlantic relations.
