Romani Studies Program Students cordially invite you to the first CEU Roma Week to mark the International Roma Day (April 8th) and to celebrate Roma culture and raise awareness of the issues that Roma people face throughout Europe.

Poetry performance by Jelena Savić, RGPP Alumna and CEU student at the Department of Philosophy

Erika Lakatos, mini-concert - Roma Icons - Lakatos Erika and János Dani Duo plays world music in eclectic styles, mix of Roma, Hungarian, Flamenco and Indian music, with free impovisation overrides.

Opening of the exhibition Traditional Roma Crafts by Melinda Rézműves, Ethnographer

The current exhibition is collected and compiled by the ethnographer Melinda Rézműves. The objects and tools are representing different types of traditional Roma crafts in Hungary such as basketry, carving, carpet making and tinplate work.
