Professor Sarikakis will address the question of the role of teachers and academics as public intellectuals. Through personal examples and reflections, the session aims to offer an inviting platform for exchanges on the potential and realities of the role of teachers as intellectuals, therefore as meaningful and influential actors connected to the world around us. How can our institutions pursue the connection with the world out there and how can we inspire future generations with ideals of social justice and rigorous research?
