Human RightS Initiative is pleased to open the call for applications for our

Basics of Project Management Workshop that will take place on Saturday 27th of October from 9AM to 5PM.

 

This is a one-day long workshop which aims to provide participants with practical skills needed to work in the non-profit sector. The workshop is recommended to those who have no or relatively little experience in strategic planning at the NGO sector.

 

Goals of the training

•Introducing the theory and the practice of project management and organization development at the non-profit field

•Learning the project management method called: Circle of creativity

•Getting to know more about the challenges of managing projects in the NGO field and the solution focused project management approach

•Gaining own experience about strategic planning, generating ideas, setting your vision, mission, goals and plans

More and more civil initiatives solve problems that our world has to face. These NGOs can contribute by reacting to challenges and preventing the escalation of certain issues. How can we do this an efficient way? Is planning a project a linear process or… ? How can we transform our passion into action?

Join us to get involved in a learning-by-doing experience and find out about practical techniques and methods. Let’s get a taste of the professional side of running an NGO!

 

The trainer will provide insights to strategic planning at social enterprises. How can we plan something that is sustainable and meanwhile good for the whole community?

 

If you would like to participate, please fill in this form by Sunday, 21st October midnight . A selection process will take place and you will be informed of its results by Wednesday, 24th of October.

The trainer delivering the workshop is Tímea Sófalvi.

 

Tímea Sófalvi has been a freelancer coach, trainer and organization developer for more than 20 years, working for non-profit organizations. Her passion is to transform NGOs into social enterprises, so these organizations will be able to provide high-quality, client focused service - in a sustainable way. She supports groups and individuals to achieve their passions as a member of BeeTree Expert Group.

 

She started as a social worker working with marginalized people, mostly with unemployed job-seekers, later on she studied drama methods. She has been working in the NGO field since 1992. After recognizing the greatest challenges why NGOs are continuously struggling to survive she decided to study financial, marketing and entrepreneurial issues, and completed her MBA ant CEU.  She holds enterprise development trainings and does coaching type of services such as organization development, project management and conflict resolution. She teaches project management at Pázmány Péter University and delivers coaching type services for the students of Ubiquity University at their Impact – social enterprise courses.
