On the occasion of marking the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, we cordially invite you to a panel discussion about personal experience and memories from the turbulent days of November 1989 and reflections on what has happened after.

Participants:
Rudolf Chmel, literary scientist, university teacher, politician, former Ambassador of Czechoslovakia to Hungary
György Varga, literary translator, former Ambassador of Hungary to Czechoslovakia,
László Szigeti, book publisher, former VPN member and vice-president of Independent Hungarian Initiative
Moderated by: András Mink, historian

Venue: CEU, Auditórium A, 1051 Budapest, Nádor u. 15.
 
The panel discussion will be in Hungarian and Slovak language, simultaneously translated into English. The event is organized by the Czech Centre Budapest, Embassy of the Czech Republic, Slovak Institute and Embassy of the Slovak Republic.
