Brexit: how did we get here; where are we going?

Professor Kassim will explore how the UK came to hold an in-out referendum on membership of the European Union in 2016, how the Brexit negotiations have subsequently progressed, and the current state of play, including the possible outcomes and scenarios that might follow from the forthcoming UK general election.

Hussein Kassim is Professor of Politics at the University of East Anglia. In addition to major resarch projects on the European Commission and EU civil service, Professor Kassim is a Senior Fellow of the UK in a Changing Europe programme, in which he leads a programme on UK-EU negotiations.
