This workshop aims to provide participants with practical skills needed to work in the non-profit sector. The workshop is recommended to those who have no or relatively little experience in fundraising. The workshop is free of charge but requires registration for all applicants and all participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

==Goals of the training
•to get an overall understanding about organizational sustainability
•understand fundraising as a planned and continuous activity, and the on-going organizational efforts required for it;
•to learn the principles and key concepts of fundraising, including proposal writing
•become familiar with different fundraising techniques and best practices and examine their adaptability

Starting from the broader perspective of organisational sustainability participants will debate on trendy or unpopular causes to fundraise for. We will discuss what targeted and planned fundraising means and then we will go through hints and tips of getting funds from different types of donors: we will discuss the elements of successful grant proposal writing, the features and the possible cultural clash with the business sector. We will watch and analyse campaigns and get acquainted with new technology fundraising.
Be prepared for an interactive day, and be ready to work on possibilities of fundraising for your own ideas!

==Eligibility:
Open to all. The selection will be based on the application forms and the selected applicants will be notified via e–mail a few days after the deadline.

==About the Trainer
Kiry Noémi Ambrusis an independent consultant working for many years on improving efficiency of non-profit organizations by providing them innovative and integrated organisational development solutions. With her almost 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, she loves sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. She is a visiting lecturer at the Pentecostal Theological College, teaching Management of Voluntary Organisations.
The main stages of her career: she started as a trainer and East European coordinator of the Olde Vechte Foundation in Ommen, The Netherlands, with involvement in personal development, coaching and leadership trainings. For seven years, she was the senior trainer and consultant of the Civil Society Development Foundation Hungary doing capacity building, training and consultancy for non-profit organizations across the globe. She also worked for the Mental Disability Advocacy Center as Operations Director and later Fundraising Development Manager; was the lead trainer and senior consultant of the Civil Support Nonprofit Ltd. Hungary. Her last position was manager at Café ADNA - the dry café of the drug rehabilitation mission of the Hungarian Reformed Church.

She has a teacher’s degree from the Lutheran Theological University Budapest and MA in EU policy from the University Of Pécs, Faculty of Law and she also studied coaching and management at the Pentecostal Theological College, Budapest.
