Abstract: We will explore issues related to developing as a university teacher, in various disciplines, based on reflective practice. We will also look at various ways to collect and document academic qualifications in the form of a teaching portfolio which is a valuable tool for professional development as well as for demonstrating educational qualifications. 

Katarina Mårtensson is senior lecturer and academic developer at the Division for Higher Education Development (AHU), Lund University, Sweden. Her research focuses on academic microcultures, social networks, professional development and academic leadership. Her work includes running courses, workshops and consultancies for academics, leaders, programs and departments in order to promote and support improved teaching and good student learning. She is co-editor of Teaching & Learning Inquiry, and has had a presidential role in ISSOTL, the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
