Visiting professor from Institute for Sociology at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Dorottya Szikra will present her own experiences from the mid-1990s, when as a member of a civil society initiative of PhD students she and her colleagues wanted to make the Hungarian pension reform more transparent, and tried to provoke public discussion on this issue that they believed had a profound impact on all of their lives. She will also talk about how women and men are effected by pension privatization differently.
