Social Network Analysis (SNA) attempts to understand complex relations that form among various actors in various contexts. As such, this workshop introduces basic concepts of SNA, qualitatively, and mathematically that can be widely used to explore research questions in social sciences and humanities. The workshop will focus on the main concepts with reference to several software that can be utilized for big data analysis.

Bio: Nassim AbiGhanem is a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at the Doctoral School of Political Science, International Relations and Public Policy (CEU). Nassim's research investigates the design and implementation of local civil society organizations in DDR Programs. As such, Nassim utilizes SNA to understand the bridging and brokerage connections that were formed to overcome political armed violence.
