An academic CV is usually required when applying for roles and opportunities that involve research and/or are within academia. Examples include applying to doctoral programs, for postdoctoral positions, for research grants, for teaching fellowships, for teaching roles, or applying to present at conferences.  Your academic CV is among the first documents a selection committee will see when evaluating your candidacy. If done well, it makes a great first impression.  

During this session, you will learn:  

  • How to structure and format your academic CV  
  • How to present your skills and experiences in an efficient and relevant way 
  • Tips for tailoring and customizing your academic CV for different audience
