What you always wanted to know about perfume but did not know who to ask - online workshop

Workshop
-
Wednesday, April 28, 2021, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Dear Students,
This is not your regular workshop. It's first and foremost a story about a perfume collector's journey to understanding the history and the present of fragrance as a beauty product and as an industry. It will show you how fragrance changed through the last 200 years, how it was sold and to whom it was marketed. Participants will look at perfume packaging and advertising, and will talk about the 'noses', the perfumers whose names are rarely known or acknowledged.

You will find out how to choose a fragrance, what to look for and what to avoid.

You will also get the opportunity to ask questions and share your thoughts on the memorable perfumes in your lives.

The presenter:
Pusa Nastase is a CEU alumna and has been working at CEU for almost two decades. While her professional expertise is in the field of higher education policy and practice, she has also been a long time perfume collector and researcher of all things perfume-related.  Currently Pusa is building a blog about the experiences around fragrance in the non-Western world and works on several other perfume related projects.
