Webinar | Human Rights in the context of armed conflict: the case of Donbas and Crimea

The Russian annexation of Crimea and armed conflict over Donbas, since 2014, has resulted in mass human rights violations due to the increased militarization in the region. In this online seminar, we will discuss the history of the conflict, the Minsk Agreements, their impact on the current state of affairs, as well as the socio-political situation in region with leading human rights defenders and political experts 

The speakers will throw light on what is the evidence of kidnapping and tortures at the secret prisons? How and what are the effects of media being banned in Crimea? How can property rights in the region be safeguarded? Can killings of civilians be prevented?
