Dear CEU Community,
We would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the start of the academic year at our first community building event of AY 2021/22,
the CEUnited Day.
When: Sunday, September 26, 12 pm-4 pm
Location: Steinhofgründe, Hütteldorf, 1160, Wien
How to get there:
Public transportation: Ottakring, Wien nach Hütteldorf, 1160 Wien - Google Maps
Use SBahn or U3 to Station Ottakring. Take the Bus (either 47A or 47B) Siebenundvierzig A or B to station “Feuerwache am Steinhof”. From there please pass by the Fire department and enter through the gate to the Steinhof Area. If you walk for 2 minutes (slow) and see the fountain on the left side, please take left path down towards the playground and look to the right. You will find us where the blue and white balloons are.
What to bring: blanket, badminton, balls, etc.
Family and friends are welcome!

Information for colleagues based in Hungary
Travel cost (Budapest - Vienna, Vienna-Budapest) can be reimbursed for colleagues (not for family members) with KEE, shared or OSZ contract types if their primary workplace is Budapest. Please make sure to choose the proper entity to whom the invoice should be addressed to. More information about invoices and cost reimbursement per entity and per-diem eligibility is available HERE.

Types of vaccines accepted: BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca (Covishield), Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Sinovac, and Sinopharm. (Please be aware that this only applies to entering the country. Sinovac/Sinopharm are not valid for entering hotels, restaurants etc. within Austria.)
COVID Protocols:
- To ensure safety of our community, participants are requested to follow the 3G rule, and keep social distance.
- Please see the up-to-date COVID regulations for Vienna here.
- Please note that depending on the official situation, even stricter rules may be imposed and COVID protocols may change before the event.
In case of bad weather, the event will be canceled.
GUIDED TOURS OF THE OTTO WAGNER AREA
As part of the CEUnited Day we invite you to join two guided tours of the Otto Wagner Area organized by the Community Engagement and Campus Redevelopment Teams.
The tours will start at 13.30 and 14.45, each one hour long.
Meeting point: Sanatoriumstrasse 2, 1140 Wien
Please note that it takes approx. 22 minutes to walk from the place of the CEUnited Day event to the meeting point.
The tours will be led by Prof. József Laszlovszky, Director of the Cultural Heritage Studies Program.
We can accept up to 20 people per tour. In the case that there are more people who would like to join, we will offer a third tour, starting at 16.00.
Colleagues from both Hungary and Austria are welcome.
