Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) is a German political foundation committed to the fundamental values of social democracy. The FES office in Vienna houses two sections, Security and Peace and Democracy of the Future. The focus of this event will be specifically on the FES Vienna Office. 

CEU's Career Services Office will host an info session with a short presentation and a Q&A with Senior Researcher, Dr. Alexandra Dienes, from the Security and Peace section of the FES Vienna Office.  She will also be joined by a recent intern who will share about their experience and contributions as an intern. 

During this event, you will learn more about: 

  • The types of research and projects occurring in the Security and Peace division
  • Future internship opportunities with FES Vienna
  • What FES Vienna is looking for in an applicant and how the application process works

Speaker:

Dr. Alexandra Dienes is a Senior Researcher at FES Vienna, where she focuses on economic aspects of regional security and cooperation,  leads the opinion poll project “Security Radar”, and coordinates the network of young experts FLEET. Alexandra received her PhD from the University of Amsterdam and her MA in Political Science from the Freie University Berlin. Her research background is in political economy and foreign policy of Russia and the post-Soviet space.


This event is intended for CEU graduate students and alumni.
