Speaker

Identifying and pursuing potential experiential learning opportunities takes some effort and involves a range of tools. Conducting research and asking good questions are very important steps in the process. Organizational websites, news stories, published research, and platforms like LinkedIn can all be great sources of information. Networking can help you find more answers, allowing you to access insider knowledge, tips and advice, and even long-term mentorship.

This session aims to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to dig in and really learn about organizations and positions that might be a good fit for you. You will also learn about reaching out to organizations and professionals of interest to build towards the best possible experiential learning opportunity, tailored to you.

During this interactive session you will learn:

  • Strategies for conducting research into potential experiential learning opportunities
  • How to use LinkedIn and other tools to identify organizations and potential connections, including CEU alumni, all over the world
  • How to propose, prepare for, and conduct an informational interview

This session is required of CPS second-year students and open to PPE second-year students.

This event will be held on via Zoom. Please register in advance to receive the link.
