You finally want to start your outreach to potential experiential learning host organizations but don’t know how to effectively approach this situation?

The material you submit to make a case for why you are the right person for the internship / civic engagement experience / research project is fundamental. It’s your chance to make a great first impression and spark interest. However, it can feel very challenging to tell your story in a well-written, strategically composed cover letter that complements your CV/Resume and helps to clearly communicate your motivation and what you have to offer in a relevant and concise way.

This session provides you with tips and ideas on how best to utilize what you are learning and represent yourself well in your application material.

During this session, you will learn:

  • How to present your skills and experiences efficiently and strategically in your CV/Resume and cover letter
  • How to effectively tailor your application materials so they tell a compelling story
  • How to clearly communicate why you are the right match for the experience/organization

This session is required of CPS second-year students and open to PPE second-year students.

This event will be held via Zoom. Please register in advance to receive the link.
