The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) is pleased to host a voluntary, online workshop for CEU doctoral students on writing a teaching philosophy statement on Tuesday, February 22nd, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. This hands-on workshop will prepare you to write and revise a teaching philosophy statement, which is required for applications to the Global Teaching Fellowship Program and for many academic jobs (on its own, or as part of a broader teaching portfolio). It also helps clarify your thinking of who you are as an academic teacher and your goals in teaching.
No coursework or teaching experience is required, but you will be asked to review three statements on Moodle before the workshop begins. (Access provided with registration). It will also be helpful to think about any relevant experience you have and how you might present yourself.
Please register no later than Monday, February 21 at 9 am to receive the Zoom link and Moodle access later that day.
