The Careers in Business Law panel discussion is recommended to students studying international business law and to other CEU students with a law degree and an interest in this field.

During this event, you will learn about:

  • Advice, inspiration and lessons learned based on a range of experiences in the field

Esther Ebimoghan (LEGS '20) is a lawyer and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist with 6 years’ experience in regulatory advisory and change management. Currently, she serves as a focal point for the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY), coordinating consultations and drafting policy briefs for UN member states and a variety of senior stakeholders. Esther recently co-authored a book on consumer protection in Digital Financial Services, focusing on PSD2. She consults for AFFORD-UK on loan facility design, analysing financial services regulation and conducting consultations with financial institutions. She recently worked within a team to deliver diaspora investment solutions into green economy enterprises. Esther has pioneered key projects and led a team of over 20 volunteers to mitigate social and operational risks posed by covid-19.

Petra Marijanović (LEGS ‘20) is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group in Vienna. A Croatian qualified lawyer, she joined Baker McKenzie in September 2020 with over five years of relevant professional experience. She is also admitted to the Vienna Bar Association as an European lawyer. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Petra worked at renowned Croatian law firms, focusing on daily counseling of corporate clients with respect to corporate housekeeping, commercial, company, labor, compliance and media law matters and represented clients in litigation and insolvency proceedings before Croatian courts. At present, she is focused on arbitration, representing clients in disputes before arbitral tribunals under the rules of major arbitration institutions. Her practice focuses on the construction, commercial, energy, and major projects sectors. Petra holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from CEU and a previous degree in Law from the University of Zagreb

Sara Pendjer (LEGS ‘ 16) practices law in Serbia where she is a Senior Associate with the firm Stankovic & Partners. She advises both international and local corporates on dispute resolution (including litigation and ADR), privatisation, M&A and procurement. In addition to the LL.M in International Business Law from CEU, Sara holds a master’s degree in European Integration and an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Belgrade. Sara qualified as an Attorney in 2013 and is a member of the International Bar Association and the Belgrade Bar Association. She also acts as Co –Chair of Under 40 section of the Arbitration Association in Serbia and is ranked as Arbitration Future Leader – non-partner by Who is Who Legal. Outside of the office, Sara volunteers with organizations serving underprivileged children and actively promotes arbitration as a career path for young legal professionals. An active member of CEU’s alumni community, Sara served as Alumni Chapter Leader for Serbia from 2016-18.
