The Departments of International Relations and Political Science cordially invite you to the roundtable "Geoeconomics of Russia's War against Ukraine".

While the political economy may not play a major role with regard to the origins of Russia's war in Ukraine, geoeconomic considerations are of major significance for war strategies, as well as for possible war outcomes. Moreover, the war is bound to have major consequences for European and the international economic order, both short and long-term. Against this backdrop, our roundtable explores various aspects of the geoeconomics of Russia's war in Ukraine, from the impact of Western sanctions, the specific importance of the energy sector and the role of private corporate actors, to the prospects of Ukraine's economic recovery and its future membership in the EU's single market.
