COFFEE BEATS CONCERT – LOVE AND FREEDOM IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Concert
Coffee Beats - Izzy
Monday, October 17, 2022, 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm

We are excited to announce the first session of our Coffee Beats Concerts series!

The first concert takes us into the fascinating realm of folk music. Members of CEU Music Club join for a mixture of covers and originals in folk revival style exploring ideas of love and freedom in the 21st century. Izzy, one of the members, is a musician and second year Cultural Heritage master’s student at CEU from Wales, UK. She believes in the power of music to normalise alternative ways of living, and likes to explore the possibility of: what if we thought of all music as folk music? CEU Music Club began in September 2021 as a group of music-making enthusiasts, and quickly morphed into a rock band. This year, the club invites musicians and music fans to come together to enjoy playing, singing and listening together, forming their own groups and hosting open mic nights, and expanding its range of genres.

The rest of the Coffee Beats concerts will take place on November 14 & 28. The concerts are open to the entire CEU community and are organized by CEU Culture Hub - Community Engagement Office.
