As the United Nations lead agency on international development, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. UNDP helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities, and to build resilience to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Connecting from UNDP's headquarters in Copenhagen, Talent Acquisition Specialist Jean-Luc Marcelin will discuss UNDP's early-career opportunities for current CEU students and recent graduates. He will share useful insights and information on available positions and practical tips for a successful application.

During this virtual event, you will learn more about: 

  • What it means to work at UNDP, the UN system, and the SDGs roadmap
  • Early-career opportunities at UNDP (Internships, Consultancy opportunities, Junior Professional Officer program, and more), application and selection processes
  • Areas of expertise UNDP is looking for, and how to strengthen your candidacy

After a brief presentation, there will be time for Q&A, so come prepared with questions!


Speaker: 

Jean-Luc Marcelin works at UNDP as a Partnerships and Talent Outreach Specialist with the Office of Human Resources (based in Copenhagen, Denmark). Jean-Luc is in charge of an array of activities and initiatives related to talent outreach and communication; resource mobilization, partnerships and reporting; as well as programme development in a talent acquisition context. He is also involved in recruitment and selection activities to identify young talent for UNDP. Jean-Luc graduated from Sciences Po in Paris and has 25 years of work experience in cooperation and programme development activities, including 22 years with the UN. He is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Danish.


The roles presented during this event will include opportunities for students in all degree levels.
