Data science research ethics in practice with Prof. Dr. Simon Munzert, Professor of Data Science and Public Policy at the Hertie School.

In this webinar, we will explore the topic of research ethics in practice with a focus on issues specific to data science and empirical social sciences. From conceptualization to data collection, analysis, and publication, this event will delve into the steps of the research workflow and address the ethical considerations at each stage. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences and insights on how to navigate the complex ethical landscape of modern research.

Speaker:

Professor Simon Munzert is Professor of Data Science and Public Policy at the Hertie School. He is the Director of the Hertie School Data Science Lab. His research interests include opinion formation in the digital age, public opinion, and the use of online data in social research. He received his Doctoral Degree in Political Science from the University of Konstanz.
