ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that mimics human writing patterns, has captured the public imagination over the past months, and many have debated its implications for higher education. Should ChatGPT and other generative AI be used within research and how? How does it impact assessment practices and knowledge production? Which other forms of AI should be on our collective radar, including those that have already become ubiquitous in our academic lives?

This forum is an opportunity for CEU academic staff to share their thoughts and experiences with AI within research, teaching, and learning.

Forum Moderation: Tim Crane, Pro-Rector for Teaching & Learning & Michael Kozakowski, Director, Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning, and Higher Education Research

Short Introduction ‘ChatGPT, GPT-4, and Emerging Themes’: Kaitlin Lucas, Academic Technologist at the Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning, and Higher Education Research
