"Unissued Diplomas" honors the memory of Ukrainian students who will never graduate because their lives were taken by the Russian invasion.
The "Unissued Diplomas" Worldwide Exhibition Series uncovers the stories of Ukrainian students killed in the war. The exhibition features diplomas issued posthumously to students from Ukraine who were killed by the Russian aggression since February 24, 2022. They represent unfairly taken young lives whose dreams remained unfulfilled. Each diploma uncovers a personal story about an education, life goals, and changes in the past year of those who will never graduate. Some of the students sacrificed their studies and aspirations for the sake of their country, some died in the occupied territories, some became victims of Russian attacks on civil infrastructure. We created this exhibition to highlight the ongoing war, and the price people in Ukraine pay daily for their freedom.
The organizing group of students of Central European University (Svitlana Dovhan, Oleksandr Ihnatenko, Nataliia Shuliakova, Olha Stasiuk, and Yevhen Yashchuk) welcome all to watch the exhibition and join in the commemoration.

Úgy volt, hogy diplomát szereznek. Felsőoktatásban tanultak. Diplomájukat azonban soha nem fogják megkapni. 36 fájdalmasan rövid életút, amelyről tudnia kell a világnak.
A “Kiadatlan Diplomák” c. kiállítássorozat a háborúban meghalt ukrán diákok történetét fedi fel, azáltal hogy a diákoknak poszthumusz adományozott diplomákat mutat be. Egyes diákok feláldozták tanulmányaikat és jövőbeli terveiket a hazájukért, mások a megszállt területeken haltak meg, megint mások az oroszok által a civil infrastruktúrára mért csapások áldozatai lettek. Ez a kiállítás a 2022.02.24 óta tartó háború és orosz megszállás alatt az ukrajnai emberek mindennapi, a szabadságért meghozott áldozataira hívja fel a figyelmet.
A kiállítás a Central European University diákjai (Svitlana Dovhan, Oleksandr Ihnatenko, Nataliia Shuliakova, Olha Stasiuk, and Yevhen Yashchuk) kezdeményezéséből, valamint a Pasts, Inc. Center for Historical Studies szervezésében kerül megrendezésre.
