A ten-destination roadmap for discovery and inclusion: Strategies for engaging and connecting students

This workshop by the recipient of the European Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Ernesto Vasquez del Aguila, discusses strategies on how to foster decoloniality, intersectionality and inclusion in the classroom. It presents a toolkit to display and create content for tutors and students. The toolkit facilitates a journey in which each destination offers resources and spaces that can be customised based on students’ individual experiences and backgrounds. The roadmap seeks to: a) provide an online platform to navigate all aspects of modules; b) create a dynamic and inclusive space that fosters individual and group learning activities in online, blended or face-to-face environments; c) present students with practical and theoretical tools linked to their personal experiences; and d) provides educators with a space to embed and share their teaching philosophy.

Light buffet lunch will be served after the event.
