Are you curious about what it might be like to work in the field of multilateral development? James Reed, Principal Special Operations Officer with the International Finance Corporation, will share insights and advice based on his own career path. James will be joining us to talk about what it is like to work for a multilateral development organization, and the challenges of pursuing the bold World Bank goals of elimination of poverty and shared prosperity by supporting the private sector in emerging markets.

James Reed is a Principal Special Operations Officer with IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, currently based in Washington D.C. James has been with IFC since 2012 when he joined in the Istanbul office where he dealt with IFC investments in the EMENA region. Previously with the Business Recovery Services group of PwC, James has spent more than 20 years in the restructuring field, working with investors, debtors and creditors in a variety of distressed situations.  He has a B.A. in philosophy from Knox College and an M.B.A from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
