Join us for a interrogative exploration of global journalism at the World Press Exhibition Tour in Vienna organized by the Human RightS Initiative.
What to Expect:
Pre-exhibition talk: Kickstart with a discussion led by Freya Cumberlidge, doctoral candidate in the Doctoral School of Political Science on the ethics and challenges in journalism. We will think together on the nature and responsibilities of journalism, how it stands between education, evidence making and entertainment, asking whose stories do we tell and who gets to control these narratives. This discussion will be held at CEU.
Exhibition Tour: After the discussion, we will leave CEU together visit the exhibition of award-winning photojournalism from around the world.
Café Debrief: Regroup post-tour at a local café for reflections (location tbc)
