The lecture by Michael Ignatieff entitled "Thinking Clearly About War and Violence: The Role of Humanitarian Law” is the inaugural lecture of the CEU Talks series where our faculty discuss current issues.

This event offers a chance for substantive discussions on questions like how we think about the violence in the Middle East, what standards we should use to evaluate the claims and counterclaims coming from each side; and whether the laws of war and international humanitarian law provide us with a guide.

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 21 November at 17.30 in the D-001 Tiered Room and will be streamed on Zoom.

Registration for both onsite and online participation is mandatory.
