EU Traineeships Alumni Panel

Panel Discussion
EU flags in Brussels
Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm

Have you considered applying for a traineeship with an EU institution? It can be a great way to consolidate and expand professional skills and knowledge while learning about the inner workings of a specific EU body. The application process is long and competitive, so it's important to prepared early and understand the eligibility requirements.  Some traineeships (but not all) are only open to citizens of EU member states, for example.

Join us for a panel discussion hosted by the Career Services Office and made up of  CEU alumni to learn more about what EU traineeships entail and for advice about applying. The alumni panelists are either current or past trainees of the European Commission's Blue Book Traineeship and the European Parliament's Schuman Traineeship.

During this event, you will learn:

  • Tips for identifying and applying for an EU traineeship
  • The day-to-day work involved in traineeships with specific institutions
  • How an EU traineeship might help serve as a stepping stone towards your longer-term goals
