Established in 1951, International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

The Regional Office (RO), established in Vienna in 2011, supports the quality improvement and diversification of programmatic activities of IOM at the country level, promotes regional initiatives, and facilitates better support to interstate dialogue and cooperation. RO Vienna is responsible for project review and endorsement, policy development, and for formulating regional migration strategies. This is done in partnership with governments, development partners and civil society organizations within the region. The Regional Office employs technical experts in project cycle management (project development, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting) and thematic fields of migration management, including Migrant Protection and Assistance, Labour Migration and Human Development, Immigration and Border Management, Operations and Emergencies, Environment and Climate Change as well as Migration Health. The Regional Office also provides support on cross-cutting issues including gender and human rights, and provides support in the field of resources management, media and communications, and information technology.

Cecilia MAGLAY – LOPEZ is a Regional Human Resources Officer at RO Vienna since 2022. She started her IOM career in 2005 at the Manila (Global) Administrative Centre (MGAC) and worked there for 9 years. She brings with her a progressive IOM HR experience and portfolio from the MGAC and having supported various missions in the world. She started her international career in 2014 as HR Officer for IOM Yemen. Prior to her appointment in RO Vienna, she was the HR Officer of IOM Iraq, a position she held for nearly 7 years.

Mila KIRILOVA is Regional Human Resources Coordinator at RO Vienna. She holds a Master in Human Rights and a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Vienna. She joined RO Vienna in 2019 supporting a project about IOM Financial Management Rules and Procedures (FMRP) and working mainly in the field of HR since 2021. Throughout her experience, she has supported various missions in the SEEECA region to improve their recruitment processes and hire the best talent.

Anastasiia KUKLA is a Regional Human Resources Associate with over seven years of experience in Human Resources, Administration and Finance. Before joining the RO Vienna in 2023, she worked as a Human Resources Assistant with the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe - Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine. She holds an M.A. in Finance and Credit from Donetsk National University.
