Diversity of Migrant Entrepreneurship in Varieties of European Capitalism

Abstract: "What is the role of host countries' institutions in immigrant entrepreneurship? Following the Varieties of Capitalism (VoC) analytical paradigm, the lecture addresses this role in the economic and social integration of post-Soviet immigrants in the European Union (EU) and the ways in which national institutions influence these processes. The lecture reflects on the development of economic models and immigration policies in Austria, Spain and Hungary and their influence on post-Soviet immigration and entrepreneurship in these countries. It also discusses the ways in which post-Soviet migrant entrepreneurship plays in the migration crisis generated by Russia's government invasion of Ukraine."
