Do you have an idea for a project but have no idea where to get the funding? Are you curious about how to take your research career to the next level? This workshop will equip you with the skills to navigate and identify relevant funding sources and successfully obtain funding for your individual projects.

Topics that will be covered in this day long workshop include:

  • an overview of grant types and funding organization types (private vs. public);
  • application strategy;
  • budget development;
  • risk management, and;
  • grant writing skills.

Special attention will be paid to research grants supporting early-career researchers (e.g., ÖAW DOC, FWF ESPRIT Programme, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships), but other programmes, application types and fundraising strategies will also be explored. Please bring an idea for a project or fellowship application that you’d like to submit.

Please note this workshop is free and open to all CEU members.
