Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Are you an academic that aims at empowering your students to be active learners and achieve deeper understanding?
Then this workshop may help you on the journey to achieving that goal.

This is a very hands on and practical session that will initially take you briefly through definitions and examples in an academic context. This will be followed by you taking part in a simulation (or two – depending on time), which will provide you with the opportunity to get a feeling of the approach and an understanding of how it is structured. Lastly, you will work in small groups to design a simulation of your own that can be linked to an existing syllabus or an idea for a new course. You will be provided with a process/steps and you will be given time to work on this during the workshop and get feedback from your peers.

All you need to bring to this workshop is an open mind, a curious spirit, and a willingness to experiment. A laptop would be useful too.

Embrace your creativity and courage as we dive into an exciting journey of learning and discovery. Be bold, be adventurous!

The workshop is open to Academic Staff and Postdocs.
