In 2015, the United Nations established ambitious goals for a peaceful, fair, and sustainable world by 2030. Among these goals, Sustainable Development Goal 5 is a commitment to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. This goal aims to eliminate discrimination, violence, and harmful practices against women and girls, while ensuring their full participation and equal opportunities in leadership across all areas of society.
