Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.

IOM works to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees and internally displaced people.

CEU's Career Services Office will host an info session with a short presentation and a Q&A with IOM's Talent Management Lead Anke Strauss and Rafael Trejo, Internship Programme Associate, both working in the IOM's headquarters in Geneva.

CEU-exclusive internship program:

After a successful pilot in 2021, CEU's Career Services Offices and IOM continue collaborating on internships exclusively for CEU graduate students in 2022 (application deadline: March 13). Speakers: 

Fatima Peregrino-Brimah holds degrees in Nutrition and Food Science (University of Ghana) and Business Administration from the University of Hull, UK. She has worked in a wide range of organizations (private and humanitarian) in diverse HR capacities including benefits and entitlements, recruitment and staff mobility. She is a certified career coach and works with IOM since 2005.

Rafael Trejo joined IOM as an intern in 2017 and is now making internships at the organization possible for others. He has a background in international relations, diplomacy and intercultural dialogue, and has been involved in the internship collaboration with CEU from the very start.
