Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office

The Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office (ACRO)'s mission is to purposefully connect teaching, research, funding and management in line with CEU strategic priorities. We do this through establishing beneficial and sustainable partnerships; encouraging and supporting CEU academic staff to obtain internal and external funding; acting as interface between academic and administrative partners and thus successfully and efficiently coordinating complex tasks related to project management; and contributing to doctoral education with special focus on improving employability through acquiring teaching, research and project management skills.

Center for Academic Writing

The mission of the Center for Academic Writing is to ensure high standards of written academic English throughout the university, by providing students with support and guidance so as to ensure that their work within and beyond the university meets the expectations of the international discourse community, and by supporting and working with faculty to help students achieve the standards expected of them.

CEU Library

The CEU Library contains the largest English-language holdings in the social sciences and humanities in Central and Eastern Europe. While its main responsibility is to serve the CEU community, its high-quality services are also offered to the academic public in Budapest and beyond.

ExEd Hub

At the ExEd Hub, diversity transcends demographics and geography. We cultivate an atmosphere of collective building and application of knowledge, cross-industry and multi-disciplinary insight, and life experience to stimulate change-making discussions. The CEU ExEd Hub’s programs help you advance your career, your role within an organization, and impact on your community. We prepare high-potential leaders for new roles and responsibilities. All our educational offerings are designed to help you build better relationships professionally and personally.

Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning, and Higher Education Research

The Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning, and Higher Education Research, named after the third president and rector of Central European University, Yehuda Elkana (1934-2012), is a collaborative academic unit, promoting applied research and professional training in higher education. Since its founding, its mission and impact have expanded in several steps, most recently by bringing together, under one roof, the Elkana Center and Center for Teaching and Learning.
